Party Like It’s 1979 With Boogie Wonderland From Mr. Belt & Wezol

Covering Earth, Wind & Fire Ft. The Emotions 1979 classic Boogie Wonderland, Mr. Belt & Wezol deliver another fun re-working

Mr. Belt & Wezol have been on fire these last years. 2015 saw them rise to international fame on the waves of hit single ‘Somebody To Love’, which managed to stay in Beatport’s Top 10 for over a month, gaining support from DJs like Oliver Heldens, Avicii and The Magician as well as radio plays from guys like Martin Garrix and Nicky Romero.

Releasing other festival gems like ‘Finally’ and ‘RDY2FLY’ on Spinnin’ Deep, the Dutch duo turned into one of house music’s most exciting new acts, early 2016 rewarded with an International Dance Music Award (IDMA) in the category Best Break-Through Artist. After teaming up with Dutch act Daser for the club gem ‘Faith’, released on The Magician’s POTION imprint earlier this year, the guys continued to surprise their audience with cool projects, including highly amusing vlogs, podcasts and striking festival performances.

‘Boogie Wonderland
And now, they’re back on full disco force. Reworking the classic Earth, Wind & Fire tune ‘Boogie Wonderland’, the Dutch duo provides the track with a catchy house groove, without losing the feel of the 70s original. So, a 21st century homage to a true disco anthem, delivered by one of house music’s most inventive duo’s – this is going to be exciting!

“After re-working 60’s rock classic ‘Somebody To Love’ by Jefferson Airplane and after reworking 90’s house classic ‘Finally’ by CeCe Peniston it was now time to re-work an old disco classic.. And when you say disco you say Earth, Wind & Fire’s ‘Boogie Wonderland’. As with every re-work I do I really tried to stay humble and keep the old school disco vibes throughout the whole track. I think I quite achieved that.” – Sam (Wezol)
