Chicago gets ready to celebrate Frankie Knuckles birthday

In what’s now become an annual tradition here in Chicago, The Frankie Knuckles Birthday Tribute, For Frankie happens on Jan.. 15th at Smartbar. This year’s line-up is a shift from the Kings of House Music of previous years (and his last birthday party before he passed away). On the bill this year is Ralphi Rosario, an original member of the U.S. Dance Music Hall of Fame DJ crew, The Hot Mix 5. The Hot Mix 5 got their start on our sister network over 35 years ago at WBMX.

All proceeds go to the Frankie Knuckles Foundation. Tickets are available now for $15 and will probably sell out. Click here for tickets.

Check out one of Frankie’s last performances below and then click here for more details on the party coming up at Smartbar courtesy of 5Chicago Magazine.

Question is, how much more do you want one company to have dominion over products in your life? One billion dollars was the price tag before, now it’s believed the price to be closer to 500 million.
